According to Wikipedia, this stone, seen on the way down to the restrooms in the Washington National Cathedral, was inscribed in 1964 as a gift from those at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base.

Each New Year's Eve, the carvers working on Washington National Cathedral toasted the new year with champaign. This is a collection of some of the bottles, hidden in a room above the main hall and seen only by visitors who take the tower tour.
Carving Replacement Finial Stone
The finial stone on the right was damaged in the 2011 Virginia earthquake. The one on the left is being carved to replace it. Anyone else see a sad face in it?
