Old and Older
The skyline of Havana as seen from the fortress El Morro, built in 1589 to defend the harbor below.
Jester
With a rather sinister face.
Coffee Service
While looking at the spectacular scenery, the crew continues selling their expensive coffee on deck.
Courthouse Dome
A very distinctive feature of the Pima County courthouse in downtown Tucson, built in the 1920's.
Getting Online
Internet is hard to come by in Cuba. But anywhere with an access point, we found groups of people communicating with their phones, and occassionally tablets or computers.
Bend in the Road
Buildings stacked up above the narrow road along the Amalfi Coast. The view is magnificant but not something the drivers should be watching.
Street Xylophone
Some of the more unusual street musicians in the Zocalo
Frontier Church
The afternoon of our third workshop day was spent at a working western movie set (they had just finished an Adam Sandler film). This is one of the set built for a film along the way with one member of our class taking a closer shot.
Riding the Rails
I was surprised at how crowded the subway was early on a Sunday morning. And no one really paid much attention to a bunch of tourists stumbling around trying not to get lost while taking their picture.
The Rialto
An old downtown Tucson theater still hosting shows.
Card Game
At the Summer Palace.
Learning the Language
These kids were visiting the Palace wearing matching jackets and carrying matching umbrellas declaring them to be part of a language learning program.
Casa Particular
This was our home for the three days in Trinidad. Actually, it's someone else's home that they shared with us. According to the guide book, the town has more than 400 casa particulars with rooms to rent.
Big Ben
Ok, so this is a picture postcard shot. But I like it. Besides, it was one of the few nice days we had during the week.
Selfie
These young ladies, in full makeup and costume, take a quick break from the parade to take selfies.
